System for constructing a pedestrian-accessible roof with standard arrangement of roofing layers

System Description

HYDROBASE ULTRA P is used as a vapor barrier over the concrete base. This material provides reliable protection against vapor saturation while remaining resistant to potential mechanical damage during installation.

The SD ROOFING STANDARD PAVEMENT system uses CARBOLEX PROF extruded polystyrene foam as thermal insulation, which has low water absorption and high compressive strength.

The waterproofing membrane is constructed using HYDROBASE ELAST EPP bitumen-polymer material, which is torch-applied in two layers. Before applying the bottom layer, the surface is primed with SWEETONDALE bitumen-polymer primer. To ensure maximum rapid moisture removal from beneath the accessible surface layer, a drainage layer of profiled membrane with geotextile is installed.

For comfortable use of the roof, a leveling layer of gravel is installed with zero slope.

In the SD ROOFING STANDARD PAVEMENT system, the finish coating consists of paving slabs of any modification, which are used in residential area landscaping and are characterized by high frost resistance and resistance to pedestrian loads.

Scope of Application

The SD ROOFING STANDARD PAVEMENT system is designed to accommodate pedestrian loads and is used in new construction. The system is recommended for effective and aesthetic use of roof area, for example, as additional recreational space. It can be applied during major roof repair/reconstruction with replacement of all insulation layers.
