Insulation system for concrete floors constructed on soil base with replacement of concrete preparation

System Description

This system consists of a reinforced concrete slab, the concreting of which is carried out directly on the profiled membrane, which protects the structure from capillary moisture and creates optimal conditions for concrete curing (the “cement milk” necessary for concrete does not seep into the soil).

The use of profiled membrane in the “floor on ground” structure instead of concrete preparation allows reducing overall construction costs by an average of 30% due to the difference in cost of materials for thin concrete preparation and profiled membrane, as well as reducing installation time by more than 3 times by increasing work speed through avoiding “wet” concrete work.

Self-adhesive tape is used for fastening and sealing the overlaps of the profiled membrane.

Scope of Application

The floor insulation system on ground, which includes a concrete base installed on profiled membrane, is used in new construction of floors on ground for industrial buildings and structures, as well as shallow foundations with low groundwater levels.
