Internal sound insulation partition system
System Description
The design of prefabricated partitions places significantly less load on the floor structure compared to the traditional option—a brick wall—while allowing easy construction of partitions of various shapes.
The sound insulation capacity of partitions is characterized by the airborne sound insulation index Rw, measured in decibels (dB). The higher its value, the better the sound insulation of the room. Using different combinations of insulation thickness and number of cladding layers allows reduction of airborne noise levels up to 57 dB (see Table 1), which is comparable to sound insulation.
The SD ACOUSTIC PARTITION system, with different combinations of THERMOWOOL ACOUSTIC 40 board thickness and number of cladding layers, allows increasing the sound insulation capacity of the existing structure.
The sound insulation capacity of the system is shown in the table. 1.

Scope of Application
The SD ACOUSTIC PARTITION system is used as an internal enclosing structure for planning and functional isolation of rooms with different purposes, with dry, normal, or humid conditions, with room heights up to 9 m and non-aggressive environments.
