A new extruded polystyrene foam production plant in Kamianske was launched in the third quarter of 2009.

The production line of the German company Berstorff installed at the plant is one of the most powerful and high-tech on the Ukrainian construction market. The production capacity of the line is about 150 thousand m3 of products per year.

The production structure includes 3 workshops and a quality control laboratory. The production area of the enterprise is over 6,000 square meters. The enterprise has an international certificate of conformity with the quality management system ISO 9001: 2008. In 2012, the plant confirmed and received the OHSAS 18001 standard.

In February 2018, the enterprise officially became part of the Sweetondale company. The production of extruded polystyrene foam boards is one of the main areas of activity of the SWEETONDALE Company, and it is in this area that we have achieved significant results. In the process of research, innovative solutions were born that made it possible to reduce the selling prices for extruded polystyrene foam while simultaneously improving its physical and mechanical properties.

Extruded polystyrene foam is one of the most effective thermal insulation materials on the construction market and is widely used for thermal insulation of foundations, roofs, floors, pipelines, roads and railways. The wide application of the material is due to its unique and valuable properties combined in one material: low thermal conductivity, high strength, biological stability, environmental friendliness and durability of use.

The Company’s specialists developed a unique technology for producing extruded polystyrene foam using nanoscale carbon materials. This made it possible to significantly increase the thermal efficiency and physical and mechanical properties of the finished product.

When using graphite of certain sizes, plates with minimum cell diameters and wall thicknesses are obtained. There is also a sharp increase in the number of cells without increasing the density of polystyrene foam plates. This can explain the fact that the strength properties of extruded polystyrene foam XPS CARBON, as well as the modulus of elasticity, increase significantly compared to extruded polystyrene foam produced by the standard method.

Today, it can be stated with full responsibility that nano-sized carbon particles added during the production of extruded polystyrene foam are a manifestation of an innovative approach to production.

Fully automated packaging lines of the Italian manufacturer Sotemapack allow to minimize the cost of manual labor during packaging, stacking of packages, reduce damage during movement, transportation of packages from production to loading into vehicles.

From the first months of operation, the modern enterprise has taken a flagship position in terms of the volume and quality of products produced on the Ukrainian market.
